Liad is a serial entrepreneur with rich experience as a startup founder and as a Fortune 500 executive. He founded information security vendor Onigma (acquired by McAfee) and social search company Delver (acquired by Sears Holdings). Following Delver's acquisition, Liad served as VP of New Services at Sears Holdings and on the board of its Home Electronics and Outlets business units. Liad also served as an entrepreneur-in-residence at Bessemer Venture Partners and taught at the Entrepreneurship MBA program in Tel-Aviv University and at the Zell Program of IDC Herzliya.
Naama joined Vertex Ventures Israel, a leading early-stage fund with $1B AUM, in 2017. She works closely with the fund's portfolio companies by helping to facilitate new business relationships with customers and strategic partners, as well as building cross-portfolio expert groups. Prior to joining Vertex, she was a Director at EL AL’s Corporate Venture Arm and served as Director of Business Development for a global PR firm and opened their branch in Israel. Earlier this year, Naama was featured in Forbes' "30 Under 30" list of 2019.
Ilan is the founder of The Shelf, a leading retail innovation advisory firm based in Tel Aviv, Israel. The Shelf is working with some of the biggest global retailers both in Grocery & Fashion to outsource their innovation activities in Israel. The Shelf advises retailers in identifying, evaluating, collaborating and investing in disruptive startups. Ilan serves as a Venture Partner at Pereg Ventures and advises the largest European Retail CVC in investments within Israel.
Ilan is a seasoned digital entrepreneur. After working in Coca-Cola, Ilan founded Rubik DS, one of the pioneer online marketing agencies in Spain, and also co-founded Wiffinity, a Retailtech mobile startup. In parallel to this, Ilan has helped establish several partnerships between Israeli startups and European corporates and investors.
Ziv has 20 years of experience in leading startups and venture investments. He has experienced the whole startup cycle from start to finish, leading ClearForest’s $40M fundraising and subsequent acquisition by Reuters. He led Spacenet, Inc.’s financial turnaround and participated in its parent company’s $70M NASDAQ offering. Ziv was a Senior Principal at Israel’s largest tech investment group, Viola Group, with over $2.8B under management.
Ziv is a board member of several tech companies and was a member of Investec’s (Isr) pension funds investment committee. He was born and raised in Jerusalem and lived in the U.S., where he cultivated a blend of U.S. corporate professionalism and Israeli chutzpah. He is passionate about working closely with entrepreneurs, enjoying both the highs and the lows of the tech cycle. Ziv is currently based in Israel.
As CEO, Dan is responsible for driving business growth through innovation and continuously working with leading retailers and brands around the world to grow their bottom-line. Dan is a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of experience in a range of management, investment and consulting roles in the hi-tech sector, including as a senior partner at the Monitor Group, a leading global consulting and investment firm.
Einat Weidberg has extensive experience in handling technology companies through their different development stages, including complex technological collaborations, strategic deals and corporate finance, as well as in representing Israeli and foreign corporations and investment companies in various kinds of investment and strategic deals. In addition, Einat specializes in cross-border M&A transactions involving technology related companies.
Gadi is a product and innovation leader, with over 14 years of experience in the IT industry, with a focus on AI based products. He is now working for ebay, leading research on products and heading the Israel innovation unit. Gadi is also a senior lecturer for innovation, effective product management and e-commerce at several academic institutes, an advisory board member at the Association of Engineers and Architects of Israel, and a consultant for innovation management at several NPOs.
Ohad Greenshpan is a serial entrepreneur with a track record in building innovative technologies that create impact. He has a rich background in advanced Big Data & Machine Learning technologies, Security and eCommerce. Ohad is one of the founders and leaders of the Serious Games space – contributing both through his PhD and his activity in IBM Research Labs where he received awards for outstanding performance. Ohad is an alum of the Israeli elite intelligence unit, 8200, where he served as an officer.
Michael is an accomplished business builder and strategist across multiple industries. He initiated and led Merrill Lynch’s third party hedge fund distribution group and led the company’s financial advisor training program. He also served as General Manager, EMEA at Datorama (Acquired by Salesforce). Michael is a trained attorney with an MBA from Columbia Business School.
Daniel Cohen is a General Partner at Viola Ventures, who specializes in Consumer Internet, e-Commerce and Digital Media. He currently serves on the board of Lightricks, Puls, Playbuzz, Ruti, and Maapilim. He was also on the board of Tapingo (Sold to Grubhub for $150M) and Origami Logic (sold to Intuit).
Daniel joined Viola Ventures in April 2013 after 11 years at Gemini Israel Ventures, where he led investments in various companies including Adap.tv (Sold to AOL for $450M), Outbrain, Watchdox (Sold to Blackberry for ~$100M), Minute Media and Eyeview. Daniel began his career as a developer and product manager in a few Israeli high-tech companies, including Commtouch and Scitex.
Shirley leads the eCommerce team at Facebook Israel, working closely with DTC consumer startups on their growth strategy leveraging Facebook’s platforms. Prior to Facebook, Shirley led the strategy and business operations team at Gainsight, a hyper-growth startup in the Bay Area, and prior to that worked at The Boston Consulting Group in San Francisco. Before consulting, she worked at Google Israel with eCommerce companies and beforehand as a corporate attorney.
Jan spent the last 16 years at the intersection of technology and retail, innovating with a large multinational retailer on its Future Store Initiative before joining EDEKA DIGITAL in 2012. After 4 years in Hamburg his team moved to Berlin to tap into the active Food-Startup and Food-Tech scene. Since November 2018 the Food Tech Campus in Berlin provides space, network and expertise for founders and connects them to the EDEKA cooperative, Germany's most successful entrepreneurial initiative.
Daniel is the CEO of Clatech Ltd. and leads technology investments in Israel for Access Industries. Daniel was an investor and/or board member of a number of global technology companies, including Zalando, Rocket Internet, Global Fashion Group, Lazada, and others.
He holds board/observer positions in Israeli tech companies including Lightricks, Yotpo, IronSource, Zerto, Vayyar, Guardicore, DynamicYield, LightCyber, Zooz, and others.
Outside the investment world, in 2018, Daniel published “Red Skies”, an espionage novel which became Israel’s #1 bestselling fiction book.
Asaf has a history of working and leading teams in the retail and ad-tech industries. In 2014, Asaf co-founded Famuza, a crowd-based, demand prediction platform, connecting the talent of fashion designers with the purchasing power of fashion lovers. Later, Asaf acted as the head of business development & client success at Wise Data Media, which was later acquired by WhiteSmoke. More recently, Asaf opened a private consulting firm for online advertising before he founded Shookit.
Shiri joined CommonSense Robotics in 2016 and leads the product strategy and execution of the company’s micro-fulfilment centers. Before joining CommonSense, Shiri worked at Tesco for more than six years leading multi-million-dollar development programs, including the launch of several state-of-the-art online fulfilment centers. Prior to her work as Head of Fulfilment Development, Shiri managed a Tesco superstore and a team of 170 people. She was named the Top New Talent Award by The Grocer in 2013.
Yuki Kanayama is the founder of VASILY, the company behind Apple and Google's award-winning fashion application, IQON. In October 2017, the company was acquired by ZOZO Inc., the owner of ZOZOTOWN, the largest fashion online shopping website in Japan. After the acquisition, he became the Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) of ZOZO Technologies, Inc. He is now in charge of operations and new business development of ZOZO Research. He is also the author of the book "The Simplest Guide to Hack Growth".
Miguel is part of Sonae IT corporate venturing around the core, aiming to build a portfolio of world class tech-based companies focused on retail and telecommunications. Miguel has worked in Corporate Finance for 10 years, advising PE houses and SME on various aspects and stages of a transaction. Before joining Sonae, Miguel worked in Mergers & Acquisitions at PwC, in a broad range of sectors such as Consumer Goods, Retail, IT and Industrial Products. Additionally, Miguel has participated in valuation, business plan analysis and debt advisory projects. Earlier in his career, Miguel worked in an investment bank and a brokerage house.
Ilana has more than 18 years of experience in the retail industry, working in a number of areas including Supply Chain Strategy & Design, Collaboration Processes (B2B), Sales & Operations Planning, KPI implementation, and Restructuring. She has worked with a number of companies including Unilever, Office Depot, X5 Retail, and Delta Galil
Jonathan Keren is the founder and CEO of Maapilim, the DTC men's grooming brand. Jonathan started the company from his home's kitchen with his husband, Doron. Before that, Jonathan worked on the marketing team at Wix, and helped launch Wix Music in the US. Prior to Wix, he founded Cassetta, a 360 music management company, working with some of Israel's top artists.
Willy has more than 20 years of experience helping retailers make better decisions with data-driven technology solutions. He started his career as an AI researcher at the Center for Process Systems, in London, where his work won a nomination for a Smithsonian Award. During his career, he has worked with both large software companies, such as Oracle, startups, and some of the largest retailers, in areas such as Supply Chain, Price Optimization, Merchandising and Store Operations.
